Sarajevo is the center of the regional public relations industry through the 19th international PRO PR conference held at the Holiday Hotel. More than 180 participants over 3 days will have the opportunity to hear 11 lectures and 6 panels, 43 international, regional and domestic experts who will share their knowledge and experience.
During the opening ceremony, the president of the Organizing Committee, Danijel Koletić, pointed out: ‘Public relations are made up of experts, individuals and teams who create reputations and manage different communication processes every day so that their directors, companies, institutions and events are recognisable. This year, we focused on domestic and regional experts, on lectures, examples from practice that can provide new knowledge and motivate all those who understand the importance and role of communications, not only in public administration but also beyond. Without transparent communication and availability, we cannot talk about transparency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, unfortunately it is not appreciated enough by management staff and politicians, there are exceptions. This conference has a mission to connect public relations professionals and we have been doing so for 19 years.’
The motto of this conference is connecting in motion, and the conference was opened by one of the leading communication experts, Ethem Numić, marketing director of ASA holding and winner of the PRO PR Globe Awards, with the lecture ‘Healthy way of communication’, which emphasized the importance of two-way communication.
Today’s programming also includes a panel ‘Television in the digital age’, which will be moderated by the president of ColorPress Group, Robert Čoban from Serbia, and the participants of the panel are Elvir Švrakić (Hayat TV), Vedran Peršić (Bloomberg Adria), Edhem Fočo (Executive Director of AlJazeera) and Fedja Hadžifejzović (Face TV).
Renna Markson, executive director of PRCA, World Public Relations and Communication Association, Michael Sgiarovello, corporate communications director of Henkel CEE Europe, Omer Senguler of Global Magic Brands from Turkey, David Wilde, director of Dwilde consulting from the United Kingdom, will speak at the conference tomorrow.
At the conference, the panels ‘What the agency expects from the client’ and ‘What the client expects from the agency’ will be discussed for the first time through two-way communication about positive, but also those challenging business situations within the communication industry.
As part of the conference on Friday, the prestigious PRO PR Globe awards will be awarded.
