Nowadays, it is a universal symbol of support and hope for a brighter and healthier future. Each year, the first Saturday in October marks Pink Ribbon Day, although raising awareness about the importance of prevention continues throughout the entire month. The iconic Zagreb hotel Esplanade has been marking the pink ribbon month for years. This year, in cooperation with the non-profit association P.I.N.K. Life, the Esplanade is celebrating this month dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in a unique way – with a limited edition of the Afternoon Tea, now in pink hues. The Esplanade’s Chef Ana Grgić Tomić and Chief Pâtissière Mirjana Špoljar have designed a special menu inspired by pink tones, and 10% of every order will be donated to the P.I.N.K. Life association. Once again this year, as a sign of solidarity and in honour of the global initiative, the Esplanade’s façade will be illuminated in pink and will feature the pink ribbon symbol from 1 to 3 October.
