REXPO is visited every year by investors from China, the United Kingdom, India and the United Arab Emirates, all to learn about investment opportunities in Croatia.
The eighth international REXPO investment fair will be held in the Zagreb’s City Plaza from November 26 to 27. The main goal of the fair is to strengthen the national business climate, and numerous investors, arhitects and investment funds will present their projects as well as all those who contribute to the development of the Croatian and regional economy.
Each year, REXPO is visited by more than 1500 visitors, and the fair is divided into a two sections. In the first one cities and companies present their projects and a second one is a forum section where experts discussed the latest industry trends.
The first day of the fair is dedicated to infrastructure projects and investments. At 5 pm, Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković will open the fair, and other government officials will also address the audience.
The first panel discussion sponsored by KPMG’s “2019 Real Estate Market Finance Barometer” will address the topic of the real estate market, its financing and its expectations in the future. In addition to the speakers from KMPG, Ana Volk from the Sun group, Neven Mikec from VMD, Patrick Franolic from Spiller Farmer and representatives of commercial banks will also participate in the discussion.
The second panel discussion, sponsored by Colliers International, will discuss the positioning of Croatia on the local, regional and global investment map, and the panel discussion sponsored by Opereta will discuss the latest trends in housing construction.
What problems foreign investors face in Croatia is the main topic of a panel discussion entitled “Opportunities and disadvantages of foreign investors in obtaining permits in Croatia and the region“. Representatives from Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia will talk about the current situation in the region, while the big Indian investor in Croatia will tell his side about the problems, challenges and obstacles.
“Project management – a key service for the success of an investment project” is the topic of a panel discussion sponsored by Plan Radar, which has launched software for construction and real estate projects on the market, and recently announced an innovation and expansion of software that will make projects even more efficient. Bojan Petković, Director of Radar Plan, Goran Legac from Croatian Roads, Miroslav Pauzar, Director of RC Osijek from the IGH Institute, Dinko Polić, Head of the Sector for Projects Co-financed by EU Funds in Hrvatske Vode, Ilija Beljan from Gark and Klemen Fajmut from from Consilium Expert Group will talk about how to successfully manage the projects.
This year, for the third year in the row the “REXPO 2019 Best New Investment Award” will be held.
The second day of the fair is dedicated to HTL (Hotels, Tourism, Leisure), and topics that will be discussed are benchmarks of the Croatian hotel industry, beach resort development, and hotel architecture and design. Traditionally, the „Best New Hotel Award“ will be presented, and after the official part of the program and the closing of the fair, the gathering continues with the networking opportunity in the HTL Lounge.
