Ambassador of Italy H.E. Paolo Trichilo emphasized the excellent relations between Croatia and Italy in all areas, from economy to culture. He praised the cooperation between the two countries and especially welcomed the representatives of the Italian National Community.

Trichilo reminded that the Italian Republic was founded on June 2, 1946 and mentioned Carabinieri Day on June 5, emphasizing his pride in having been a member before becoming a diplomat. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries within the EU and stated that the new Croatian government will further strengthen the decisions made.
Vice-President of Parliament Željko Reiner also emphasized the excellent relations between Croatia and Italy, especially in the area of protection of the Adriatic Sea and the environment.
