The European Commission starts evaluating Member States’ applications for the selection of the European Medicines Agency and the European Banking Supervision Authority.
At midnight on 31 July 2017, the deadline for the selection of the new European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Banking Supervisor (EBA), which is currently in the United Kingdom, is due to expire.
The European Commission will now review all applications, objectively and in accordance with the criteria agreed between President Jean-Claude Juncker and President Donald Tusk, and the Heads of State and Government of the EU27 supported at the European Council meeting (in the format provided for in Article 50), held on 22 June 2017 .
The Commission will present its assessment on September 30, 2017. All offers will be available on the Council’s website.
