The total value of the production lines will ultimately be more expensive than the construction of the campus itself. It is a ratio of 250 to 120 million euros. Just one line that will produce battery systems for BMW, with which Rimac announced a partnership in April this year, will be worth 100 million euros. In the still empty, all-white hall, there will be other lines for BMW, and two more projects have been agreed with German manufacturers, whose names Rimac cannot arbitrarily reveal.
“Exponential growth will start in two years”, said Mate Rimac, founder and executive director of Rimac Grupa, to the gathered journalists of almost all domestic newsrooms at the presentation of the Campus and the new Nevera model – the R.
Rimac has really big deals lined up. Bugatti Rimac worth 2 billion euros, and Rimac Technology (a company that produces battery systems for Rimac Bugatti and other car manufacturers) 2.9 billion euros. In total, Rimac has contracted deals worth 5 billion, with the announcement of an additional 3 billion euros from Rimac Technology, announced Mate Rimac. The founder of one of the most technologically advanced companies in Croatia also referred to state incentives, which is why the company is often called out in the media, especially because of the Verne robot taxi project. Verne, he said, has so far received 89.7 million euros of public money from NPOO, and the companies Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology have received a little more than 10 million euros since their establishment, which is both EU and national money. A trifle in fact compared to the foreign investments they collected.

New investments follow. The campus will not be sufficient for all production, so the plant in Jankomir will remain active. In addition, the project in Kerestinac is not finished. There is still a need to build a building that will house offices, restaurants and a kindergarten for more than 2,000 employees who should work there (currently there are 400 of them). The construction of a test facility in Stupnik and another one in Kalinovac was also announced. Rimac Group should ultimately have one million euros of square footage.
In addition to the business and the campus, the Nevera R was presented to the local public, which was shown for the first time in August at the automotive event The Quail: A Motorsports gathering in California. The Nevera R is designed as an aggressive alter ego of the Nevera and represents the transition from a hyper Grand Tourer car to a hyper sports car.
The number of produced Nevera R will be limited to 40 examples, and its starting price is 2.3 million euros. So far, one has been sold. Nevera, presented in 2021, was planned to be produced in 150 copies, but to date, 39 have been produced. “We do not hide that Nevera is not sold out,” says Rimac, emphasizing that all Bugatti models are sold out. Bugatti is still a brand, and it is not electric, Rimac explained, adding that there is a lot of interest in Nevera. He announced and will soon present a new car without revealing additional details.
