Saponia has been a member of the Global Compact since 2014, and since then actively participates in all events organized by the local network. Since 2019, since she has been at the head of the company, as a business leader, Dajana Mrčela has been contributing to the goals of sustainable development through her work and dedication, and she has transferred her passion for ecology to the employees of Saponia, for which in 2022, by an expert international the jury declared Global Compact Network Croatia SDG Pioneer.
Ms. Mrčela often emphasizes that she is proud that Saponia, as a chemical industry, pushes the boundaries in environmental protection and keeps up with the most modern trends in sustainable development. “It was not difficult for us to adopt the Principles of the Global Compact because they are also our principles, we implement them through our sustainable development goals and through our policies. As an SDG Pioneer for Global Network Croatia, this is my duty and my firm commitment in life. It is a great pleasure for me to continue my journey towards the preservation of nature and the environment in the role of a member of the UNGC board of directors. We all want the same thing – a better, environmentally conscious, clean future for us and our children. Our goal is to leave this planet a little better, cleaner than we found it. I think it is the duty of every responsible citizen of this country, especially those of us who have committed ourselves to this through our daily work, public awareness, and finally engagement in this network,” said Dajana Mrčela, president of the Saponia administration.
