Josip Funda is the new Senior Economist for Croatia and Slovenia at the World Bank. Previously, he was head of Section for Macroeconomic Analysis at the Croatian National Bank. His new duties include analyzing GDP trends and projections, public finances issues, and identifying the segments in which Croatia lags behind other countries the most. Funda, who is a native of Varaždin, has 15 years of experience in macroeconomic and fiscal policy research. Apart from working for the Croatian central bank, he also worked as a desk economist for fiscal policy at the European Central Bank.
