The international PRO PR conference and its 20th anniversary edition will be held from May 4th to May 7th in the Jezero Hotel on the Plitvice Lakes. Conference participants can expect 16 lectures and 2 panels, and the motto of this year’s conference is “green public relations, green responsibilities”.
Among others, Martin Nesirky, Director of the United Nations Information Service, John Shield, Director of Communications at the BBC, Carlos Chaguaceda, Director of Communications of the Museo Nacional Del Prado, Erik den Hoedt, Director of Operations at the Ministry of Public Affairs in the Netherlands, and in addition to foreign lecturers, local and regional ones will also speak. The panel entitled: “Telling the truth, is it enough to cut thru the fog of lies” will be moderated by Richard Linning, and Jelena Gavrilović Šarenac, head of corporate communications at Henkel, will moderate the panel “Green communications in sustainable development communications”. “I am happy that this “journey”, which lasts for 20 years, managed to put the PRO PR conference in the leadership position of the educational platform, which is under the motto “Networking In Motion”, focused on the topics of public relations. In these 20 years, 285 lectures, 32 workshops and 33 panels were organized, and more than 4100 participants were a part of this conference. I always like to emphasize that it is not a spectacle, we are focused on knowledge, examples from the practice of public relations and connection, which is one of the keys to success. We are intended for all those who deal with public relations, which is a great organizational challenge, not because of the program topics, but because of the leaders, who create within this industry of public relations, and there are really few of them in the region who manage the reputation on a daily basis, while being recognized for their work, ethics in business and constant learning, which can ultimately be quickly assessed. Although everyone talks about digital transformation, digital communication cannot do without public relations, which have also undergone their own transformation, the one related with content, organization, but also through their forms of tasks that are constantly upgraded, broadening the horizons of the general and internal public.” said Danijel Koletić, President of the organizing committee of the International PRO PR Conference. As part of this year’s PRO PR, the PRO PR GLOBE Awards will be given for the 11th time in a row. This is a unique award program, focused on awarding individuals, not projects. In accordance with the regulations, former winners of this award nominate future ones, and no financial resources are paid in this process. In addition to the PRO PR GLOBE Awards recognition for individuals, the traditional PRO PR Vision City, PRO PR Vision Manager and PRO PR Indigo Awards will be given on 05th of May as a part of the solemn ceremony. The conference was founded by the Apriori World agency, and this is also the only conference supported by the world’s leading public relations association PRCA – The Public Relations and Communications Association, based in London, Singapore and Dubai.
