A conference called “Vocational education in complete curricular reform” was held in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. They organized the Foundation of the Croatian State Covenant, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
The conference was opened by Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, and Marko Pavić, Minister of Labor and Pension System and Vlado Prskalo, Assistant Minister of Science and Education, spoke in the introductory part.
About the curricular reform itself, with emphasis on secondary education, was spoken by prof. dr. sc. Dijana Vican, president of the Special Expert Commission for the Implementation of the Science, Education and Technology Strategy and Rector of the University of Zadar.
About German experiences of dual secondary education was spoken by prof. dr. sc. Wolfang Schuster, President of the European Foundation for Education and President of Deutsche Telekom Foundation.
On the panel titled “What kind of vocational education do we want?” There were words about the goals of Croatian vocational education, the news that brought us to the EU, the centers of competence, the role of local self-government and the consequences on demography and the national economy.
Panelists were Daniela Buntak, head of the Department for Education and Training in the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Croatia, Mirela Lekić, Head of the Croatian Chamber of Crafts, Božo Pavičin, Counselor in the Office of the President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Vlado Prskalo, Assistant Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, prof. dr. sc. Wolfang Schuster, President of the European Foundation for Education and President of the Deutsche Telekom Foundation, Tina Turk Lupieri, Human Resources Director Maistre and Mile Živčić, Director of the Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education.
