The 95th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Turkey was celebrated on 29th October 2018, at a reception hosted by H.E. M. Babür Hızlan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Zagreb, and his wife Ms. Emel Hızlan.
After his short speech, Ambassador Hızlan read the Republic Day message of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
Around 400 invitees attended the event, including Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Zeljko Reiner, Chairman of Turkish-Croatian Parliamentary Group and Chairman of Croatian-Turkish Friendship Association Sabor Member Mr. Goran Beus Richembergh, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of Croatian Parliament Mr. Miro Kovac, Mayor of City of Zagreb Mr. Milan Bandiç, President of Meshiad of Islamic Community in Croatia Mufti Aziz ef. Hasanoviç, Assistant Ministers, Ambassadors, diplomats, Turkish businessmen and citizens living in Croatia.
